Santa Cruz County's Premier Running Organization

The Santa Cruz Track Club (SCTC) is a non-profit organization established in 1989 to promote running and track and field by providing coaching and support programs in our community. The club operates two sections: one for adults and one for youth. Athletes of all abilities are welcome. The organized workouts are tailored to the level each individual desires to train. The SCTC also helps local organizers of road races and track meets with event management. We are a diverse, multi-talented group of athletes which includes sprinters, hurdlers, middle distance runners, marathoners, ultra-marathoners, race walkers, track and field competitors and triathletes. Our members span from youths to masters and from novices to national- and Olympic-class athletes. The Santa Cruz Track Club is a member of the Road Runners Club of America and of the Pacific Association of the USA Track and Field.

Special Olympics

The Special Olympics Track & Field season starts in March and ends with Summer Games in June.  Volunteers are needed to support the Sat. practice sessions from 9AM to 11 noon at Soquel High School. Practices will consist of stretching and form drills prior to track or field event workouts. Volunteers are requested to assist approximately 25-45 athletes to ensure proper forms are learned. No experience necessary! Any time that volunteers can spend to support this effort will be greatly appreciated.  For more information, please contact Jennifer Johnson at 661-0623 or email jennifer@es-cc.org
